Cllr Cliff Cooper

Crick Parish Council

Personal Statement
Cliff joined the Parish Council in 2015 after retiring as a solicitor working mainly in corporate and commercial property law. He had been a Partner at Brethertons in Rugby for many years and was the Managing Partner for 12 years. He continues to be the Company Secretary of a substantial local commercial warehousing company.

Whilst on the Council he has been particularly involved in the preparation of the Crick Neighbourhood Plan and dealing with various legal matters affecting the Council including the negotiation and purchase of the Crick allotments from Severn-Trent, the taking over of Public Open Spaces on the David Wilson development and the granting of various licences and leases over land owned by the Parish Council to village organisations including the Main Road Playing Field, Crick Woodlands and Crick Community Sports Centre.
He lives in an eco-house that he and his wife, Shena, designed and had built in Boat Horse Lane and they are keen gardeners. They have a house in Greece and they have been involved in trying to help the many refugees trapped in Greece by sending large quantities of collected clothes to friends over there to distribute.
