Cllr James Stevens

Crick Parish Council

Personal Statement

James has lived in Crick since 2018, where he moved into the village with his young family from Daventry and has been an active member within the community helping to administer the Crick Noticeboard on Facebook, editing the village Crick News, and enjoying the benefits of living in a beautiful rural village.

James grew up in Milton Keynes and upon leaving college went to university and studied Computer Aided Design and IT Network Infrastructures. After completing the course and gaining his BSc (Hons) he took an opportunity to work for a small manufacturing company in a design role, where he learnt his trade and began his career.

He has spent 22 years working in the construction industry, designing, engineering timber frame structures for self-builders, housing developers and manufacturers as a consultant.

In his spare time, James will often be found cycling in and around the surrounding villages, visiting local places of interest or going on adventures with his daughters exploring the woodlands and teaching them about nature.

Becoming a councillor is the next step of his journey to become more involved with the day-to-day life in the village and to ensure it stays a safe and beautiful place for his family and their future.
