Representing and promoting the interests and the well-being of the parish

Cllr Jill Jamieson

Cllr Jill Jamieson

Crick Parish Council

Personal Statement
Jill moved with her family from Cheshire to Crick in 1999 because of her husband's career. She read History and French at Birmingham University, undertook further study at Toulouse University and then went on to pursue qualifications in education at Liverpool University. She has been a French teacher throughout her working life, principally in the secondary sector, but also worked initiating the teaching of languages and training Primary teachers within Primary schools. She is an examiner for GCSE.
She has four children, with the youngest about to go off to university, one grandchild and another due in the summer.
Having joined the Parish Council in 2014 she currently serves as the Council representative on the Village Hall Committee and is a trustee of the Crick Education Foundation and Crick Parochial Charities. She is also one of the members of the Crick Neighbourhood Planning group.
Despite her best efforts, she never manages to quite keep pace with her family's ability to consume all her cakes!
