Crick awarded Gold at Northamptonshire Village Awards

Crick awarded Gold at Northamptonshire Village Awards

Last night we attended the Northamptonshire Village Awards Presentation Evening and guess what…?!!! Crick was awarded Gold followed by a Silver in the additional category for 'Creative Use of Communal Space'

Previously known as the Best Village Competition, Northamptonshire ACRE has been running this event for 14 years to showcase the top village and urban communities across the county.

Crick Parish Council took the lead in entering but this award belongs to the Crick community. The judges are always impressed by local community groups formed by residents and when Councillor John Bamber was preparing Crick's application, we were reminded of just how much our village has to offer from its facilities and amenities, local activities, tidiness and presentation to its environment, future sustainability and most importantly community spirit.

The judges visited Crick on 17th May and were hosted by Councillor John Bamber, Councillor Brian Hughes and volunteers from Crick Woodlands.
