This week one of our PCSOs dealt with an incident in which a young person sustained an injury when a group of youngsters from the village ‎were jumping 15 feet from a footbridge into the canal at Crick. After first aid was administered young person was taken to the A and E Department after some 5 hours was allowed to return home. This incident illustrates the dangers.

Our PCSOs have received reports that young people have been jumping off bridges into the canal. This is dangerous. The canal is shallow and there may be hazards under the water. Swimming in canal can also result in waterborne illnesses like Weil's Disease.

CCTV: Railway trespass incident in Daventry

Police officers have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to following incidents of trespassing onto a railway near Crick in Daventry.
